Solid geometry in senior high school mathematics part is one of the core content of high school mathematics curriculum, is one of the important carrier of cultivating students’ space imagination ability. preliminary is arranged in the solid geometry has just entered high school students of the first semester of study, students used to learning solid geometry and plane geometry thinking this exquisite space concept, the geometry of space imagination ability up and difficult to find the correct effective study method. in a word, in solid geometry teaching both in teachers’ teaching and students’ learning also exists some problems need to study and solve. the purpose of this article is trying to figure out the problems existing in the students in the learning process, and analyzes the reasons and put forward the corresponding countermeasures to further improve students’ problem solving ability in the solid geometry module. this paper mainly through the solid geometry teaching practice to study how to cultivate high school students the ability to solve problems.Research questions of this article is:through the ethnic minority areas at the county level key high school science students of solid geometry problem solving present situation analysis, from different aspects to find what is the cause of the problem solving ability is not high? according to these problems, and puts forward some practical and feasible approach, the design gives some teaching cases.This article mainly USES the questionnaire survey method, statistical analysis method, interview method and the teaching experiment.From September to October 2015, before the solid geometry teaching experiment, we according to the students that may occur in the process of the solid geometry problem solving several problems that we are interested in compiling questionnaire, investigating GongCheng middle school science department 501 students; based on the test, the solid geometry problem solving to the student status, classification, statistics, the following conclusions.Students in the solid geometry problem solving difficulties mainly are:(1) the lack of stereo feeling, knowledge chart, diagram, drawing, difficulty to figure, image characterization of understanding does not reach the designated position. (2) the definition, basic knowledge such as theorem understanding is only a blur. (3) divided learning solid geometry knowledge, the whole system, the lack of a growing point of thinking. (4) to the problem of equivalent conversion ability is weak.In November 2015 to December 2015, in a medium of solid geometry teaching teaching experiment, to explore how to carry out problem solving ability in the process of teaching methods.In January 2016, to summarize the teaching experiment, the experimental data obtained from the use of SPSS for data analysis.Through practice show that the research of front-line teachers have certain reference value to the solid geometry teaching, the students’ learning solid geometry quickstart, effectively improve the learning efficiency, improve the students’ problem solving ability to promote better teaching effect.
