The implementation of the three-player basketball event in higher sports universities and institutes is relatively poor, the competition for students spontaneously organized, fewer times, scale, level of smaller, mostly class between competition, between departments and school level competition is less, it is difficult to meet the needs of students for the tournament;3. The teaching situation of the three-player basketball tournament in higher sports universities and institutes is bad, the basketball teaching theory and practice of three-player basketball is few in the basketball teaching process, the contents of three-person basketball in basketball teaching materials in physical education colleges account for a smaller proportion, and some even do not have the content;4.
