The relative efficiency values of professional football league are very important to evaluate the performance of the entire club team in the season. It can help the managers to sketch a suitable plan for allocating the inputs such as the resources and personals. Thus, a higher output can be achieved.Taking 2012 China football super league(referred to as the Chinese super league) as an example, this dissertation addresses the problem of evaluating the efficiency of 16 China football super league teams by using Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) method of mathematical programming.The main contents and results obtained of this dissertation are as follows:1. The Analytical Hierarchy Process technique is first used to combine the input-output factors. Then a DEA model with weight restrictions is built to calculate the effectiveness of 16 teams. Finally, according to the obtained effectiveness, 16 teams of China football super league are divided into six different groups.2. Using two auxiliary linear programming for scale profit of DEA, upper and down bounds for scale elasticity of six groups are computed. Thus, the elastic clubs in each group are determined.3. It is found that the degree of professionalization of China football super league is not very well by investigating the obtained effectiveness and elastic data. There are A few teams of China football super league are effective. There are certain differences between the competitive strength of football teams. |
