The Marriage Patterns And Its Transition Of The Flowing Female

This article focuses on the characteristics of the marriage pattern of the floating women and its transition. Some effective suggestions are given to the floating women for the construction of their marriage and family.The research data is from the census of Huangpu district in 2010. I use SPSS and SQL to math out 4303 couples. The matching rate is 80.2%. The data shows that most of the married floating women are 20-24 years old. Most of them come from the central area (41.0%) and eastern coastal area (37.7%). Anhui, Jiangsu and Zhejiang are the major provinces of Shanghai floating women. The overall education level of floating women is low, most of them work in commercial and service industry.The research of the marriage patterns of ascribed factors of floating women is from two aspects, age and source. The results show that the marriage age of floating women and their husbands are significantly younger than the permanent residents. The early marriage problem is quite conspicuous. The couple of old man and young women is the mainstream. The average age gap between first marriage couples is 2.26 years. The age gap of remarriage couples shows a trend of divergence, which is 9.49 years. As the growth of first marriage age of women, the age gap will rise after falling first. As the growth of first marriage age of men, the age gap will widen. In the time scale, the early-marriage rate of floating women and their husbands declined after 1980s. The late-marriage rate increased. Before 1990s, the marriage gap gradually narrowed. After 1980s, the marriage gap gradually widened.I divided the regional mating mode of floating women into 3 categories, regional marriage, stranger marriage and Shanghai marriage. The regional marriage takes the major part. The trend of stranger marriage is very evident in North China, middle part and South China. The floating women who are married to Shanghai men mainly come from Jiangsu(23.7%),Anhui(18.2%) and Zhejiang(11.1%). However, the will of marring Shanghai men is not strong of the floating women in these three provinces. In the time scale, the regional marriage rate of floating women gradually declines. After 1990s, the stranger marriage rate gradually increased. After the 1990s, more and more floating women married Shanghai men.The research about the marriage pattern of self-induced factors of floating women is mainly about education level and profession. The results show that same education marriage and gradient education marriage take the major part. The education model exists in obvious stratification. In time, the education level of couples is increasing, the gap between education years is decreasing. The same education marriage is increasing. Since the 21st century, the rate of highly educated couples has increased largely. The same occupation marriage takes a major part. It decreased gradually.The floating women should regard the Hukou as unimportant factor and choose the husband rationally. If they want to find a better husband, enriching and improving themselves is a good way.
