With the continuous development of modern science and technology, especially the development of computer application technology, human society has entered into the knowledge era filled with information. Under this background, the way of traditional "reading" learning cannot satisfy the needs of people, which expect a new way of learning will catch people’s eyes. Knowledge visualization grow up gradually, and put forward finally in this background. Knowledge visualization can transform complex text into clear and understandable images by visual representation so that help learners learning easily and getting twice the result with half the effort. Although knowledge visualization is just emerging research field in recent years, however, with the deepening of research, the theory of knowledge visualization become more and more mature and practical has improved gradually resulted knowledge visualization was widely used in various industries. In addition, because of the knowledge visualization in the teaching has good probability, apply knowledge visualization in the teaching has become the consensus of many scholars. Here it is, the focal point of this writing is using knowledge visualization visual representation tools for analysis of senior geography teaching material.The main purpose of this study is to investigate students’ existing learning style and teachers’ teaching way, and knowledge visualization can transform written text in the senior geography teaching material(take People’s Education Press Required Course One for example) into clear images by its visual representation tool, in order to demonstrate knowledge visualization can help teachers to understand the teaching material clearly, help students master the knowledge content easily. This article is divided into six parts to discuss the application of knowledge visualization in high school geography teaching material. The first part is the quotation and introduction, to find the focal point of this article by introduce the background and discusses the predecessors’ research results; The second part is the connotation of knowledge visualization and supporting theory, providing theoretical basis for this article; The third part is the investigation the students’ using People’s Education Press textbooks interests and learning style, the rationality of the teaching material arrangement, teachers’ teaching habits and so on, to understand the feasibility of knowledge visualization in teaching; The fourth part is the empirical research, designed case for the senior geography teaching material required course one(People’s Education Press) by knowledge visualization software; The fifth part is the empirical research of feedback and results analysis, the results showed that using knowledge visualization to aid teaching to enhance student achievement has a significant effect;The sixth part is the conclusion of the paper, the innovation points and deficiencies and so on.Through detailed theoretical and empirical research, this paper has the following conclusions:1.Knowledge visualization help learners study effectively.2.Knowledge visualization can enhance students’ geography academic performance.3.Knowledge visualization applied to the classroom to improve student learning old habits.4.Knowledge visualization can narrow the achievement gap between students, maintain the stability of academic achievement.5.Knowledge visualization conducive to cultivate students’ space imagination ability and strict logical thinking ability.6. Knowledge visualization can provide teachers with a new kind of teaching mode and teaching method, make the teachers teaching way more diversified.
