Strengthening energy conservation plays a key role during transformation of economic development and achievement of scientific development. Low-carbon technology can significantly improve the effectiveness of energy saving in social and economic life, and as a crowded place, university is an important area which demands amount of energy. Therefore, the application of low-carbon technology has a special significance for universities. However, the adoption of low-carbon will be inevitably affected by various factors, sort factors and demonstrate they relations are particularly important. Based on the past literature review and questionnaire, a conceptual model is developed to deduce the relationship among technology, organization and university social capital factors. Finally, we get structural equation model and degree of influence of each factor on the willingness of adoption. It is testified that university social capital is a factor which affects the adoption of low-carbon. The existing factor studies are in the lack of research on social capital. University social capital will be divided into three dimensions including structure, relationship, and cognition, combine with technical and organization level, a comprehensive analysis of willingness is got. It is confirmed that social capital has an impact on the adoption of low carbon. It makes a further supplementary for technology adoption factors. The model of university low-carbon adoption is constructed. The conclusions are based on the sample data of 359 questionnaires. The correlation coefficient between factors are different, it is proved that each factor has different influence. According this, universities can have a tendency for the adoption countermeasures. For example, the cultivation of university social capital and the reserve of expertise and resource are reasonable measures. The adoption of low-carbon technology is a progress, which is affected by multiple factors, distinguishing the degree of effect will provides theoretical support and reference for low-carbon universities.
