Research On Project Cost Management Of A Middle School’s Laboratory Building In Liaoyang

Currently, being affected by some unexpected factors, project cost management’s out of control is a serious problem for construction projects management. It causes not only construction companies’ money wastage, but also a large number of social resources wastage. As pillar industry for national economy, the construction industry contributes to 6.83% of the GDP. Therefore, it is significance to reinforce project cost management for improving project management capability, using capital efficiently and distributing resources reasonably.Project cost, which is a main factor for project management, is one of the key performance indicators to assess project management. Factors affecting project cost management include project valuation model, project management model and contracting management model, etc.Project cost management should abide by economic laws, as well as the whole process project cost management theory. This paper discussed project cost management problems on researching a junior high school’s laboratory building in Liaoyang., it analysis the project cost management from the following aspects:Firstly, it introduces project cost management research status both at home and aboard, the article’s content and research methods. Secondly, it introduces engineering cost management theories. Thirdly, it introduces some information concerning the laboratory building’s engineering cost management. Fourthly, it investigates project cost management’s main work, problems and origin analysis in decision-making phrase, project preparation phrase, construction phrase and completion phrase. Fifthly, it introduces some solutions concerning the four phrases’ problems. Finally, it summarizes the whole article, shows some research shortcoming.The article offers some project cost management experience on reinforcing the contract parties’project cost management methods, calculating project cost legitimately, and controlling it effectively.
