| Objective:Analysis of college students five-pattern personality, constitution and psychological health and the correlation and between gender differences, And through longitudinal research, analysis of University students’personality education, the impact of physical and mental health conditions as a result of the rule should be, and provide references to students’abilities and increase their level of physical and mental health.Methods:Tracing the Beijing University of Chinese medicine in 2009 has been involved in mental health survey of freshmen students (currently 2014 graduates), a cluster random sampling approach to questionnaires. Testers unified reading instruction, and students completed the "Five-Pattern Personality Inventory", "Five-Five Pattern Constitution Inventory" and "SCL-90 (Symptom Checklist 90)" independently, recorded the recovery situation after students’completing the questionnaires.205 copies of questionnaires have been issued,21 invalid questionnaires were excluded,184 valid questionnaires were eventually obtained, and the response rate was 89.8%. SPSS 18.0 describes the valid data test, differential test, product-moment correlation, and recovery samples from 30 randomly selected people return small samples.Results1. Five-pattern Personality of university graduates:Compared with the Taiyang and Taiyin of the same age norm, graduates personality dimension scores were significantly lower, the results were statistically significant (P<0.01).and Compared with the Yin-Yang balanced, graduates personality dimension scores were significantly higher, the results were statistically significant (P<0.01). Comparison between girls and boys, boys scored higher than girls in the Yin-Yang balanced personality dimension (P<0.05), Comparison between department of traditional Chinese medicine and the others, graduates of personality difference was not statistically significant.2. Five-Five Constitution of university graduates:Compared with the normal constitution, yang hot constitution, yang insufficient constitution, wet tended constitution, wind tended constitution, enegery insufficient constitution, blood insufficient constitution, energy stasis constitution of the same age norm graduates personality dimension scores were significantly higher, the results were statistically significant (P<0.01). Comparison between girls and boys, Boys scored significantly lower than girls in dryness tended constitution, blood insufficient constitution and hemo stasis constitution (P<0.01).boys scored lower than girls in the normal constitution and wet tended constitution (P<0.05), Comparison between department of traditional Chinese medicine and the other, students of the department of traditional Chinese medicine scored lower than others in dryness tended constitution and hemo stasis constitution.3. Psychological Health of university graduates:Comparison between boys and girls, graduates of psychological health was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Students of the department of traditional Chinese medicine scored lower than others in obsessive-compulsive symptoms (P<0.05).4. University graduates personality characteristics and psychological health of correlation analysis:Yin-Yang balanced was negatively correlated with positive project split (P< 0.05), and was significantly negatively correlated with all 10 factors (P< 0.01). Taiyang was significantly negatively correlated with somatization, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, others (P< 0.01); It was negatively related to obsessive-compulsive symptoms, anxiety and horror (P< 0.05). Shaoyang was significantly negatively correlated with others (P< 0.01); It was negatively related to depression (P<0.05). Shaoyin was significantly negatively correlated with hostility (P< 0.01); It was negatively related to somatization and horror (P<0.05). Taiyin was significant positively related to all 10 factors (P<0.01).5. University graduates constitution and psychological health of correlation analysis: Positive project split of SCL-90 was significant positively related to wet tended constitution, dryness tended constitution and energy stasis constitution. It was positively related to yang insufficient constitution, blood insufficient constitution and hemo stasis constitution (P<0.05). The normal constitution was significantly negatively correlated with all 10 factors of SCL-90 (P< 0.01). The wind tended constitution was significantly negatively correlated with somatization, depression, hostility, horror, others (P<0.01).It was negatively correlated with obsessive-compulsive symptoms, anxiety, paranoia and psychotics (P<0.05).6. Longitudinal study of Five-pattern Personality:Results show that the score of graduates group was significantly higher than freshman in the Yin-Yang balanced dimension (P<0.01).7. Longitudinal study of Five-Five Constitution:Results show that the score of graduates group was significantly higher than freshman in the normal constitution (P<0 .01).8. Longitudinal study of psychological health:Results show that the score of graduates group was significantly lower than freshman in all 10 factors of SCL-90 (P<0.01).Conclusion1. Reseach on personality of university graduates found that compared with the sam age norm, college graduates group had lower intensity reaction and approaching bui higher balance. The balance in reaction to things of boys is better than girls, difference of department was not statistically significant.2. Reseach on constitution of university graduates found that compared with the san age norm, university graduates are healthier, and they are more likely to have yang 1 constitution, yang insufficient constitution, wet tended constitution, wind tended constitution, enegery insufficient constitution, blood insufficient constitution, energ; stasis constitution. Girls are healthier than boys, and they are more likely to have dryness tended constitution, wet tended constitution, blood insufficient constitution, hemo stasis constitution. The comparison between the departments found that stude of other departments are more likely to have dryness tended constitution and hemo stasis constitution.3. Research on physical health of university graduates found that gender differences physical health was not obvious; Students of other departments are more vulnerable obsessive-compulsive symptoms than the department of traditional Chinese medic4. Correlation analysis on personality, constitution and physical health of University graduates shows that personality, constitution and psychological health are closely related and influence each other.5. Longitudinal study of University students showed that after 3 years of college life the balance of personality, constitution and psychological health of the same group students had been improved significantly. It suggested that school education of the students’personality plays a significant role to the improvement of physical and mental health. |
