Development of economic globalization makes specialization become more sophisticated, increasing the demand for highly skilled personnel. China is also facing the current economic transformation, So we should develop vocational education vigorously, accelerating the development of highly skilled personnel without delay. As the secondary vocational education is an important part of vocational education, this article wishes to hold a systematic research, providing theoretical support for the development of vocational education.This article uses CGSS (Chinese General Social Survey data) 2008 micro data for empirical analysis. The systematic study is in accordance with the "prior", "Things" and "after" in three stages. "Prior" research is the use of binary discrete choice model to analyze the factors affecting choice of vocational high school education, the conclusions show that the family’s economic status and other personal family background factors have an important influence on the individual choice to receive vocational education."Things" research is to estimate the return of secondary vocational education and high school education. Taking into account the endogenous selection bias education,this article uses the latest method of propensity score matching based on CGSS2008 micro data for empirical analysis.After controlling sample selection bias, the propensity score matching results show that the return of vocational education is higher than that of high school education, and vocational education have a significant positive impact on personal income."after" research is a statistical description of the future employment differences of the individuals after accepting different types of education, indicating that, vocational high school have a advantage than the high school in the employment.
