In our daily teaching activities, it’s very important for us to focus on and cultivate non-intellectual factors, which may let teachers do less work in classroom teaching. An American educator once pointed out that students’ interests in learning, motivation, attitude, curiosity and emotion each plays an important role in the process of promoting students’ intelligence development. We should pay more attention to student’s non-intellectual factors in order that they will take active part in the activities of learning. In the process of English learning, non-intelligence factors play important roles. If one wants to get high marks in the subject of English, he or she should have high intelligence, but good non-intelligence factors are more important. In fact, non-intelligence factors are more decisive than intelligence factors in terms of students’ academic achievements,High school students have many kinds of motivations of learning English as a psychological effect mainly including the combination of the external causes from society and internal causes from students themselves. I learned from all these years of English teaching, students’learning motivation is stronger, the effect of learning will be better. They are complementary to each other, and learning motivation determines learning attitude. If students are interested in English, learning is a kind of happiness to them, and thus they may have serious attitudes; On the contrary, having a contempt for English learning, they may have negative attitudes toward their English learning. Therefore, learning motivation has been playing a decisive role in English learning. If learners have a strong motivation for learning, they will have a positive attitude toward learning, with firm and indomitable perseverance to overcome the difficulties in learning for achieving their desired learning objectives.This paper focuses on the component factors of motivation effect of psychological mechanism in terms of social psychology, which investigates ordinary high school student’s components factors of motivation by adopting questionnaire survey method. It analyzes the sample data by the descriptive statistics, factor analysis, correlation analysis and T-tests, obtaining the result that ordinary high school students’English learning motivation contains learning interest, learning needs, learning self-efficacy and learning values and other factors, and have a high degree of positive correlation between all the factors and students’ English learning achievements, of which the highest degree of correlation is the interest of study followed by learning needs and learning values. Students with strong motivation of English learning have higher marks while those with low motivation have relatively low marks. Finally, it puts forward strategies of classroom teaching optimization and stimulating their learning motivation.
