History textbook contains history events, people, opinions and so on. Its content varies with the history study. Since the reform of primary education, history textbook has made big progress in its structure and content, but as for the introduction of new history study achievements, it still needs to do more.This thesis is based on the analysis of the textbook so that we can find out what progress it has made and what hasn’t. Then the thesis will try to figure out the reasons that prevent the history textbook from introducing new history study achievements. Finally this thesis will come up with some ways to better introduce new achievements of history study. As a result, this thesis is divided into three parts:Part 1:the panorama of the textbook about its introduction of new study achievements. This part analyzes both its advantages and disadvantages which are the key points of this part.Part 2:the analysis of reasons which stop the textbook from introducing new study achievements. This thesis will analyze the reasons from these three perspectives---- the request of the ’history curriculum standard for senior high school’; the contradiction between history study and history textbook; the textbook’s examination and approval system.Part 3:the way for the history textbook to better introduce history new study achievements. This part is based on the second part, so it comes up with the solutions for the problems above.
