This article take the Suzhou Elementary and middle schools After school track and field training present situation and the characteristic as the object of study, uses literature research techniques and so on material law, questionnaire survey procedure, interview law, mathematical method of average, conducts the analysis research to the Suzhou Elementary and middle schools After school track and field training present situation and the characteristic, is for the purpose of summarizing the present Suzhou Elementary and middle schools After school track and field training characteristic and the existence question, provides certain theory basis and the reference for the Suzhou Elementary and middle schools After school track and field training healthy order development.The results of the study showed that :(1) Training after school in track and field coaches, Suzhou city, showing a relatively young age, characteristics of the main force of male coaches are coaches.(2) Suzhou school training after school in track and field coaches in the area of education and titles shows characteristics of high qualification and title.(3) Suzhou school extracurricular training in track and field coaches ’ professional features are: ball larger proportion of professional, track and field is relatively small, and most coaches do not have a professional team with experience.(4) The current school extracurricular training of track and field coaches, Suzhou is the physical education teacher, part-time training after school in track and field and more class hours, work load is large.(5) Primary and middle school track and field athlete boys in high school, Suzhou city, 63.49% percent of female 36.51%; athlete of track and field’s favor is not high.(6) Most athletes on the trainer’s teaching, teaching methods are satisfactory, 82.54% evaluation for high level 85.71% of athletes like the coach’s teaching methods.(7) Coaches in the development of training plans to stage the plan main; in terms of training programs set up Suzhou track and field projects carried out in primary and secondary schools in walking, running, jumping, throwing four, runs the largest proportion, in which Sprint is every school of training projects; jumping and throwing percentage, at 50%.(8) The arrangement of the contents of training courses, and general fitness training is low, higher specific physical training, specific physical training and general physical training in light of the characteristics of training methods to repeat training, overall and on decomposition method and circuit training method, to transform training and competition training supplemented by features.(9) At present, Suzhou city, primary and secondary training after school in track and field athletes feel characteristic of small load, from the entry point of Suzhou school extracurricular athletic training has a significant effect, but lower competition levels feature.
