University is important base of development of socialist advanced culture with chinese characteristics, also exemplary area and radiation source, which is responsible for historical task of cultivating qualified constructor and reliable successor for socialist cause with chinese characteristics, both important place for cultivating talents, and main position for construction of socialism core value system. To conduct socialism core values education for the undergraduate is not only requirement of socialist ideology, but also unshirkable mission and responsibility of university education. The socialism core values education for undergraduates has become the core content of ideological and political education.In this paper, regarding related concept discrimination as starting point, the author has made thorough research to the aim and content of the education of socialism core values education for the undergraduate, and, preliminarily discussed the basic methods for education.The first department is distinction of concept related to socialism core values education for the undergraduate. The connotation of value, core value, socialism core value system, socialist core values, ideological and political education and socialism core values education have been distinguished and discussed.The second department researches the objective of socialism core values education for the undergraduate. China Dream and development need of undergraduate’s values are basis of establishment, unity of guidance, Assimilation and Utilization, and, ability cultivation are the principles of establishment, on the above,the contents of general aims and concrete aims have been determined.The third department researches the contents of the socialism core values education for the undergraduate.
