Research On Cultivating Contemporary College Students’ Academic Integrity

The eighteenth National People’s Congress of the communist party of China puts forward “we should make morality education as the fundamental task of education”, “to promote the intensive development of higher education”. As an important component of national talent team, contemporary college students’ academic integrity reflects their moral quality, also reflect the quality of education in college indirectly. In recent years, with the country’s emphasis on higher education and the deepening of the college students’ moral construction, the level of their moral have an extended ascending, however, there still exist problems in the field of college students’ academic integrity. Those affect college students’ normal study life, form a bad cycle in college, destroy college students’ moral bottom line, pollute the academic environment, and have an effect on the construction of academic integrity in the whole society.According to read and analyze the papers and research findings of college students’ academic integrity at home and abroad, with analyze social objective environment and characteristics of college students, this paper elaborate some substance related to college students’ academic integrity. This article is divided into three parts. The first part is a summary about college students’ academic integrity. In this section, learn from predecessors’ research results, and based on this paper, the specific connotation of integrity,academic integrity and contemporary college students’ academic integrity are defined. Then some words are used to elaborate the relationship between cultivate contemporary college students’ academic integrity and ideological and political education, between cultivate contemporary college students’ academic integrity and moral education, between cultivate contemporary college students’ academic integrity and education of core socialist value, and explain how the latter effects on the former. The second section is analyze themain problems exist in the cultivation of contemporary college students’ academic integrity according to questionnaire and face-to-faced talking, and find the reason why these problems exist. Specifically, there’re three reasons:problems in the construction of college educational environment; negative affection from society; deficiency of college students. The third section puts forward how we should do to strengthen and improve contemporary college students’ academic integrity. We should promote the atmosphere of academic integrity in the college, create a good environment of social integrity, and college students ’ initiative to strengthen the sense of academic integrity. Then according to optimize contemporary college students’ academic integrity atmosphere and strengthen guide students to self-educate, so that let them realize the importance of academic integrity in their lives, learning and works,then establish the concept of academic integrity, form the habit of academic integrity.Contemporary college students are faced with many challenges in their learning and lives, from the change of the objective environment to the change of their own development, these all affect the cultivation of college students’ academic integrity. Therefore, strengthen the cultivation of contemporary college students’ academic integrity cannot only depend on the education of college, a way that take college as main position, treat college student as main body to cultivate, and strengthen construction of social environment, then forming a cultivation model what is focused, multi-channel and deep, in order to cultivate a high quality talent team conform to the need of the times.
