In 2001,The Ministry of Education issued Outline of Curriculum Reform in Basic Education(trial regulations) and so on,new curriculum reform has been carried out in China.In 2012, new curriculum reform has been carried out in high school in Guangxi,and new curriculum reform in high school has been carried out all over the country.New curriculum reform put forwards new demands for teachers,teachers have the power of not only implementing curriculum but also developing curriculum and teaching decision-making.This paper knows about the present situation of Chinese teachers’ teaching decision-making in high school by Questionnaire investigating 132 Chinese teachers in eight high schools in Guangxi Zhuang Autonoumous Region, observing Chinese classroom teaching and interviewing some Chinese teachers in high school,finds out the existing problems, explores the major factors influencing Chinese teachers’ teaching decision-making in high school and provides some suggestions for improving Chinese teachers’ teaching decision-making. The study shows that the existing problems are mainly dependent teaching decision-making, teaching decision-making on stereotyped experiences and old-fashioned teaching thinking style. The major factors influencing Chinese teachers’ decision-making in high school are mainly education administrative departments, schools, teachers and students. Based on the above analysis and discussion, suggestions are put forward from multiple perspectives so as to improve Chinese teachers’ decision-making in high school, For example, education administrative departments should conduct targeted new curriculum reform training and enhance supervising new curriculum reform; schools should create a favorable atmosphere for cooperation of teachers, improve their group decision-making awareness, strengthen the construction of teachers’ cooperation platform and give teachers more professional guidance; teachers should study new curriculum reform idea and teaching decisions and reflect on their own decision-making behaviors. |
