Higher vocational education is an important part of our country’s higher education system, and the students cultivated are of an important group to fulfill our country’s modernization construction. They bear the era of task about constructing the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics, building a well-off society in an all-round way, building prosperous, democratic, civilized and harmonious modern socialist country, and they shoulder the historical mission and responsibility of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. But with the enrollment expansion of colleges and universities and the advancement of popularization of higher education, it’s easy to ignore problems of the higher vocational college students’ moral values. Because of the difference of talent cultivating target, the status quo that the education of higher vocational college students emphasizes on skill training but neglects moral education is worrying. Besides, the education of sense of social responsibility among the higher vocational students is always ignored. Therefore, whether higher vocational students have the sense of social responsibility not only embodies the level of their own quality, but also is closely related to the country’s future and the nation’s destiny.This paper takes the of Guangdong’s higher vocational college students’ sense of social responsibility as the research background, and explains the profound connotation and structure characteristics of the vocational students’ sense of social responsibility from a practical point of view, and further explores the countermeasures of strengthening vocational colleague students’ sense of social responsibility. The empirical research carries out data survey on the self-made questionnaire through SPSS 19.0 software, makes on-site interviews with part of the higher vocational college ideological workers and higher vocational students in Guangdong area. Conclusion is that the level of the higher vocational students’ sense of social responsibility is relatively stable, and most of the students in vocational colleges have strong responsibility awareness and fine responsibility quality, as well as high Ideological consciousness. They take the initiative to concern with the policies of the party and government and learn about hot issues domestically and abroad, but they still have some problems can not be ignored.This thesis consists of 3 chapters, excluding the introduction and conclusion:Chapter One mainly briefly summarizes the relevant concepts, characteristics and structure of Guangdong’s vocational colleague students’sense of social responsibility. Chapter Two Section One mainly analyzes Guangdong’s vocational colleague students’cognitive degree of sense of social responsibility, conducts sampling survey and analysis to the vocational colleague students and then gets relevant data, based on hot issues, public crisis issues, and social volunteer service, etc, Looking for the existing problems and defects by analyzing the status quo of vocational colleague students’sense of social responsibility based on these data; Section Two mainly applies Cross Contrast Analysis to compare and analyze the status quo of different kinds of vocational colleague students’sense of social responsibility in details and in depth, from the aspects of their grades, political status, gender and origin, and then gets relevant conclusion; Section Three mainly analyzes the cause of existing defects of Guangdong’s vocational colleague students’sense of social responsibility. Chapter Three raises relevant suggestions and countermeasures on how to strengthen Guangdong’s vocational colleague students’sense of social responsibility, from three macroscopic views:optimize outer environment, strengthening the leading role of education and management, as well as strengthening vocational colleague students’self-education. It discusses the effective countermeasures to solve the problems of vocational colleague students’sense of social responsibility in depth. First, optimizing outer environment mainly includes exploring new modes of responsibility education, perfecting the methods of ideological and moral education, setting a platform of role practice of responsibility. Second, strengthening the leading role of education and management of the colleagues mainly includes improving the quality of ideological and moral education of vocational colleague students, changing conventional education modes, etc. Last, strengthening vocational colleague students’self-education mainly includes improving the vocational colleague students’culture and moral quality, and developing self-examination and self-restraining, etc.
