The coaches and athletes pay more attention to the problem about how to make high quality balls to damage the first passer of other team, and how to judge from the serving to improve its passer’ accuracy to organize more tactical attack. Because of the diversified changing rules in the volleyball, so it needs the athletes on the court to obtain useful information more effectively. Now the visual search pattern becomes the research hot spot. In this research, the author adapted the "experts- novice" model and used the EyeLink1000 eye-movement apparatus to study the eye movement characteristics of different level volleyball players when they watched the different serving and receiving movement scene. The results showed that:In the process of watching the serving and receiving movement, especially when they watched the picture materials, the reaction time of high level athletes was significantly lower than the lower level of athletes; and judgment accuracy was significantly higher than the lower level of athletes.When they watched the video, the choice reaction time of the higher levels of athlete group was lower than the low levels, but it appeared no significant difference between each other. However, the judgment accuracy was significantly higher than the low level of athletes.The high level athlete’s ability to grasp information sources and the trade-off ability were stronger than the average level and the novice group of athletes. According to different tasks, the higher levels of athletes can use search pattern more reasonably.When watching the pictures materials in the serve ball phase, the high level groups showed the characteristics of less fixation point, small saccadic distance and small pupil diameter. When watching the pictures at the receiving stage, the high level group showed the characteristics of less fixation point, large saccadic distance and large pupil diameter.Due to the missing information, when watching the picture materials, the subjects of the three groups were all affected. The high level athletes’ cognitive degrees were higher, so they were less affected, and the average and novice athlete groups were greatly affected.When watching a video material, as the playback speed slowed down, judgment accuracy of three groups of participants all tended to rise, especially the higher levels athletes’ rising trend appeared even more significantly.
