Investigation Of The Current Resource Socialization In Wuhan’s College Stadiums

Wuhan is an important city in central China. Since a series of national and international major sports events (e.g. Wuhan Open, the 26th Asian Male Basketball Championship) have been successfully held in Wuhan, the national fitness consciousness awakens rapidly. The demand for athletic facilities increases as people work out more frequently. And the quantities of public venue facilities cannot meet people’s need; that is to say, there is still a considerable gap between what the government provides and what the public need.Wuhan, as the capital city of Hubei province, has the third largest number of colleges and universities in China, just less than that of Beijing and Shanghai. Compared with public gymnasium, colleges and universities’spots venues have more recourse and facilities. According to Wuhan Bureau of Statistics (by the end of 2013), there are all together 80 colleges and universities in Wuhan. It owns advantages in terms of type, quantity and level of sports venues. If these sports resources can be reasonable open to the public, it can not only greatly alleviate the problem of insufficient public sports facilities, but also play an important role in promoting the brand benefit of the colleges and universities in Wuhan.Through on-the-spot investigation, questionnaire, interview and logical analysis, mathematical statistics and other research methods, this paper systematically analy zes the current state and the factors that restrict the socialization of the sports ve nues facilities of the colleges and universities in Wuhan. The rapid development o f economy brings forth an increase in citizens’per capital disposable income and purchasing power, which lays a profound basis for the market of sports consumpti on. According to this research, outdoor sports venues are generally sufficient, whil e indoor gymnasiums and sports venues are not enough. However, on the whole, each college and university can provide sports venues to satisfy students’basic ne ed of normal physical exercise. After analyzing, the factors that effect the socializa tion of wuhan university sports venues resources are as follows:Factors that affect Wuhan university sports venue resources socialization include:1. Venue:lack of facilities, unreasonable layout, and expenses caused by equipment consumption.2. Safety:students’ life and property safety, and potential accident that may do harm to the people taking exercise.3. Venue management: increase of school stadium staff input, which results in an increase of schools additional expenditure.4. Time:disorder the normal psychical education.Some suggestion for the socialization of Wuhan university sports venue recourse, for the implementation of national fitness activities as well as for the implementation of the National Fitness Ordinance:1. Strengthen the construction of practical sports facilities; expand the usage scope of the stadiums.2. Improve the system of laws and regulations; strengthen the awareness of safety.3. Improve the quality of college sports venues’management; intensify propaganda.4. Take the price advantage of university sports venue; fulfill the obligation of nonprofit open.5. Government subsidy for the socialization of university sports venues.6. Establish incentives to promote the socialization of university sports venues.7. Make good use of the sports talents in the universities to provide high quality psychical exercise for the society.8. Seek ways to combine the universities and communities to start a school-district sports mode.
