A large number of the researches shows that: before learning scientific concepts, the students have been obtained all kinds of the vague and unscientific concepts from the life experiences and practice,which built their own system of thinking. They are with the idea of previously acquired from the life experiences into the classroom. These ideas exist in the student’s mind for a long time, and affect the formation of students’ scientific concept in various ways. we call it‘Pre-scientific concept’. If we want the students to understand the scientific concepts, we will study the original Pre-scientific concept of the students, and take a certain teaching strategy to make the wrong and fuzzy concep into the scientific concept in the mind of the students. This process is called “concept translate”.The writer have done some research of teaching pratice that is about concept translating in middle school. The research base on the previous studies, development theory and constructivism theory, and the concept of the state changes of the matter. The writer have do a survey about the Pre-scientific concept of the state changes of the matter in the Course of “melting and freezing “and “vaporizing and liquefying”in the of seventh grade of junior high school. The writer had taken the new method of the concept Translating in the experimental classes, at the same time,had taken the nomal method in other classes.We can easily find the significant difference that the experimental classes be taken in the method of cooperative learning, expedition learning and experiment learning are more better than the other classes by comparing.Through the practice and study, we have got the following conclusions and enlightenment:Pre-scientific concept of the students is really existent, and that has very important influence in learning, also is the key of translating unscientific concept into scientific concept. The application of the concept translating can improve the teaching efficiency; cooperative learning, expedition learning and experiment learning can be used in the course of the state changes of the matter in junior middle school well.
