With the reform of new curriculum, application of statistical knowledge in mathematics teaching is more frequent. Improving the abilities in statistics teaching of mathematics teachers has been becoming the in evitable trend of development model of development of mathematics teaching. In this paper, in order to establish classification model of statistical knowledge for mathematics teaching, writer used the methods of literature, interviews, questionnaire survey method. The study found that the model is based on the analysis of the structural elements of statistical knowledge and solo theory. First of all, the structure of statistical knowledge contains two large plates:statistics knowledge and statistical teaching knowledge. Among them, the statistical knowledge includes general subject knowledge, expertise and field of knowledge; the teaching knowledge of statistics includes the statistical characteristics, students’ understanding, curriculum knowledge, and knowledge of teaching strategies and scientific evaluation and so on. Secondly, the SOLO theory in this study is a kind of evaluation which featured by hierarchical description and observational learning result, according to the connection of eight elements of statistical knowledge for teaching and other factors, identified 5 level features for statistical knowledge teaching, and also establish the research model of statistical knowledge for teaching. And the feasibility of the model is verified through the questionnaire survey, from which a conclusion is drawn:first, teachers lack of knowledge for the meaning of statistical, which means that they do not know well about the subject characteristics of statistics; second, teachers do not pay attention to students’ understanding of knowledge; third, teachers do not pay attention to the teaching of statistics knowledge; fourth, the old teachers’ understanding of knowledge for statistics teaching is shallow. According to the above conclusions, the author put forward his own proposals that mathematics teachers need to grasp overall the discipline features of statistics, and pay attention to the individual teaching skill training about various elements of statistical knowledge. Experienced mathematics teachers should help the young teachers to improve their statistics teaching level when strengthen their own knowledge of statistics.
