Dynamics is an important feature of geography.Students can acquire variety patterns of geographical phenomenon, and grasp the geographical context if they sort out the development of the geographic objects,and it has important effect to cultivate the students’ geographical thinking. Learning high school geography process knowledge requires students perceive and describe the geographic process, use the geographical process law in theory with practice.This paper analyzes the research status of the geographic process knowledge and problem solving teaching model at home and abroad,points out the research background and meaning,redefine its concept and types, reveals its features and teaching significance, analyze the feasibility and established the program of problem solving strategies used in teaching high school geography process knowledge from theory and practice,and apply it to practice to verify and reflection.Results are as follows:(1)Because Geographic process knowledge emphasizes the timeliness and dynamic change and reflect geographical discipline characteristic,So it is more appropriate to classify it from the perspective of geographical elements. Taking compulsory 1 as an example, we can divide the natural geographic process knowledge into earth movement process knowledge, climate process knowledge,hydrological process knowledge, geomorphic evolution process knowledge,biology and ecology process knowledge and Other process knowledge.(2)Understanding the characteristics and teaching meaning of the geographic process knowledge can help us find suitable teaching methods. so we can summarize four characteristics of process knowledge richness of the number,Concise of language,Knowledge of basic, Knowledge of composite through analysis and compare of textbooks.In the end,we analyzes the geographic process knowledge’s teaching significance from the viewpoint of the formation of knowledge.(3)Analysise the practice based of the problem solving teaching model used in high school geography,and design the operating procedure,principle and proposals.(4)Use education experimental method to analyze the teaching process and effect,and confirm its validity,at the same time points out shortcomings.
