| In pace with the rapid development of internet technology and the mobile communication technology to mature,Micro-blog in China has been speedy popularization and become an indispensable part of the young people’s study, life, specifically university students have become the main users of micro-blog, and it has become an important platform for university students in the exchange of views, dissemination of information, entertainment and emotional catharsis. In this context, to how to deal with the challenge of ideological and political education that brought by the Micro-blog, to make the advantage of the Micro-blog used fully, to make a great innovation of ideological and political education, is an urgent need to research and seriously solve task.The article mainly consists of five parts:The first part, basic overview of Micro-blog and the investigation of students’use of Micro-blog. Focus from the concept of Micro-blog, functions and the influence of Micro-blog’upon college students to discuss in depth. So as there is a correct understanding of the Micro-blog, and to lay the foundation for Micro-blog in college ideological and political education.The second part,the positive effects of Micro-blog on the ideological and political education. Positive impact is reflected in:a new carrier for ideological and political education, enhances the interaction between the educators and the students. Meanwhile, the use of Micro-blog on the ideological and political education enriches the educational information resources, enhances the effectiveness of education, promotes educational socialization. The third part, the article expounds the negative influences of Micro-blog to college students of ideological and political education. Micro-blog undermines the authority of traditional educators;alienates the educated thinking and behavior;lashes the traditional mainstream consciousness of educational content;digests the effectiveness of traditional educational methods, reduces controllability of the traditional educational media environment.undermines the orderly of traditional educational management.The fourth part, the causes of Micro-blog’negative impact on the ideological and political education. Objectively, the "Micro-era"subculture lead to social and universities cultural and media environment complex and changing. Moreover Micro-blog own regulatory mechanism is not perfect,and opinion leaders is flooding. Subjectively, students’physical and mental are immature, lacking of basic Micro-blog’ media literacy.
