Pupils’ problematic behaviors in class refer to those which pupils do repeatedly duringclassroom teaching. Those behaviours deviate from the standards for classroom behaviors andteaching requirements under the concept of the new curriculum. Besides, they have negativeimpact on the order and efficiency of classroom teaching. This research chose randomly20students and10teachers as interviewees.198studentsand98teachers from two elementary schools, Schook A and School B were chosen as testees. The result of the survey showed six aspects as following:1. Problematic behavioral patterns.Three most common patterns in class are absent-mindedness, petty actions and whispering toothers.2. Problematic behavioral types. The main two types focus on “inappropriatebehaviors” and “insufficient behaviors”.3. The causes for problematic behaviours. Pupils’personal problems are considered as the main cause.4. Solutions for problematic behaviours. The teachers mainly use two types of solutions. One is “Simple comments in class, dealingwith it after class”. The other is “Stopping it forcibly without asking reasons”.5. Satisfactiondegrees of pupils towards classroom behavioral rules, their own performance in class, the waytheir teachers deal with problematic behaviors, the way their parents look uponproblematic behaviors and related aspects. Most pupils choose “Satisfied” and “Just so so”.6.Different points of views on problematic behaviours. Most pupils and teachers think that thereasons for listening to the teacher carefully in class and not making mistakes or makingfewer maistakes are as following four types: Pupils are afraid to be criticized or punished. They want to get some prize from the teachers or parents. They want to please their teachersand parents. They have to obey the rules strictly in class. This research gives a full analysis on the manifestation of pupils’ problematic behavioursin class. It comes to a conclusion that pupils’ problematic behaviours in class have threefeatures, which show universality, otherness and periodicity. The research also analyzes thecauses of pupils’ problematic behaviors in class and puts forward three countermeasures forsolving the problems. One is the stragety for preventing problematic behavoiurs in class. Theteacher should set a good example for the pupils, lead them to respect others and get alongwell with them. Scientific and effective classroom rules for the pupils, pupils’ self-controllingprinciples in their hearts and spreading positive energy to their hearts are possible countermeasures, too. Another is the countermeasures for controlling problematic behavioursin class, including light control, moderate control and deep control. The last is thecountermeasures for correcting those behaviors, including talking to those pupilsconfidentially, analyzing the process of the behaviours, taking the consenquences of thebehaviours, communicating with pupils’ parents in time, making good use of the strengthfrom the society and so on.
