Strategic Study Of Hefei Community Education Evelopment

With the rapid development of technology and explosive growth of knowledge in our society, school education is no longer able to catch up with the trend once and for all. Thus, creating a learning society and lifelong education system has become the inevitable trend of society developing. As a crucial part of lifelong education, aiming to improve quality and living standards of community members as well as to realize community development, community education fully embodies the concept of comprehensive education and represents itself as the essential means of constructing lifelong education system and a learning society.As to the city of Hefei, developing community education is beneficial to satisfy its citizens’ diverse learning needs, to improve their living condition and increase happiness, to build itself as a learning city. Starting from late90’s, community education in Hefei has made some progress in the last decades. Till now, there is one community education demonstration site, one community education experimental plot and two State-level community education demonstration districts in Hefei. Besides, in May2013, Hefei has been approved as national learning alliance city by the Chinese Adult Education Association. However, operation mechanism, management system, policy guarantee, and concrete measures of community education in Hefei are not perfect,and many people don’t know enough about community education.Being the only adult education college founded by local government, Hefei Radio&TV University has taken nurturing talents and serving itself for local economic and social development as its own obligation. In the spirit of The12th Five-Year Plan of Hefei Education Reform and Development and the need of conducting transformation, Hefei Radion&TV University initiated community education in2011.Along with enhancing non-diploma further education,the school has done a great deal of community education research all over the nation and actively engaged itself in community education work. In August2014, Hefei Lifelong Study Website, the community education network learning platform built by Hefei Radio&TV University, has been completed and will be officially unveiled soon.Relying on this platform,that the community education Four level network mechanism will be established and promote a lerning society of "Anyone Can Learn at Anywhere and Anytime" in Hefei. For the above-mentioned situation, the thesis analyses the theory of carrying out the community education relying on the radio and television universities on the basis of interpretating the concepts of community education, lifelong education, radio&TV universities and development patterns. By the way of on-the-spot investigation, handing out questionnaire and looking into references, the thesis has made research and summary of the current situation of Hefei community education as well as puts forth some problems.Through drawing lessons from development models of community education home and abroad, combining the development model of community education in radio&TV universities and the wok reality of community education in Hefei Radio&TV University, the thesis putting forward community education strategies and suggestions in the city of Hefei.
