The Study In The Development Of China's Radio And TV Education

Nowadays modern open distance education is showing its great vitality in the learning-oriented society.As the backbone of Open University system in China,Taizhou Radio & TV University is playing an increasingly significant role.The school development trend and its future position is greatly interested by those within and outside the circle.As China's economy steps into the “new normal”phase,new requirements are put forward to the Radio & TV universities as far as the popularization of higher education is concerned.With the new situation,TV universities' school running is faced with quite a number of challenges,as well as new opportunities in the construction of new Open University.The writer of this paper has been working at Taizhou Radio and TV University for nearly 20 years and has first-hand experience of the development of the municipal level Radio and TV University.This paper has used the research methods such as literature research,network investigation and field interview to analyze the connotation,characteristics,functions and development of the Radio and TV Universities.It also summarizes the current situation and characteristics of the education development in China's Radio and TV Universities,analyzes the causes of the problems and makes the attribution analysis of external and internal factors.In view of the fact that the national open university has been set up,the author has introduced analyzed the successful schools in Britain,Japan and the United States,and put forward the policy suggestions for perfecting the development of radio and TV education in China(China Radio and TV University)I believe that the establishment of the National Open University is the milestone of the development of China's Radio and TV universities and is the right option for Radio and TV Universities at various levels.Now is the time to seize this opportunity to get over the difficult situation by this transformation.The prospect is also analyzed in this paper.
