This essay is manly about introducing the Chinese language education in Australia especially in New South Wealth.As we know the education system is different from states in Australia.Into the21st century, Australia is increasingly multicultural and multilingual. During the time I work as a volunteer teacher in Rooty Hill School which located in Sydney since2013-2014,I know more about the Australia education system and how Chinese delivery in the class in Australia.All these are great and valuable experience that I want to record what I know and learned during this time.In NSW About30-40%primary schools have a language program, with the majority situated in the Sydney metropolitan area. In Years7-10, students are required to undertake100hours of language learning. This generally occurs in classrooms with students of different levels of exposure and ability. In most cases, elective language classes in Years9and10are quite small in number. Chinese is in the same situation.Chinese language have differentiated courses-Beginners, Continuers, Extension, Heritage and Background Speakers-and entry is governed by the Board’s eligibility criteria.The aim of this essay is to provide a review of the current state of Chinese language education in NSW so as to make informed recommendation for how to increase the number of students learning Chinese in the country’s schools and how to raise the quality of their learning and the proficiency level they achieve.This thesis contact seven parts, the first and second part is mainly the introduce the current research and Chinese teaching situation in all Australia.I focus on the NSW region in the rest five parts of this thesis, the third chapter is based on introducing and analyse the current Chinese teaching situation in NSW.Chapter four mainly about the Teacher who deliver Chinese in NSW, including introduce the current teacher structure and the problem they have like work opportunity and training stuff.Chapter five introduces the Chinese K-10curriculum which is most important Chinese teaching curriculum in NSW. Chapter six introduces the Rooty Hill School which I works as volunteer Chinese teacher and its Chinese teaching situation.And the last chapter is based on all the information that I collected and summarizes and give my personal idea about the solutions and suggestions hopefully canThe information contained in this essay is based on the facts and figures supplied by NSW education and board of study.
