The research about migrant children has not been well and thoroughly studied so far. However, in a country which has a long tradition of patriarchy, few people study the migrant girls from the gender angle. Their existence as a huge group which corresponds to males has very meaningful significance to the development of society and progress of mankind.I studied the migrant girls from the year of2011. In the nearly two years, I had tried my best to communicate and contact those girls. This paper was written on the basis of the study of two schools in Nanjing. The content of my study can be divided into two parts. The first one is the obstacles and discomfort of the migrant girls during their process to adapt to the school life. The second one is the self-marginalization of those girls during their process to adapt to the school life. The topic of marginalized survival combined these two parts together. The study of the former one is mostly a kind of narrative description. The latter one is focused on the interview which is in order to study the subject deeply and thoroughly. According to the study of these two parts, I hope I can highlight the marginalization of the girls’ existence in education and self-marginalization from the surface to the point.According my research, the migrant girls as other children are curious about the fresh things and are full of desire and passion to the city life. But some unhealthy factors and the unharmonious environment made those girls feel fear and exclusive to the society. As a result, those factors left them some psychology trauma. In this paper, I described and analyzed this phenomenon in order to arise people’s attention and thought and then to make a peaceful and harmonious living environment to them.
