In2009, After the Beijing municipal education committee energetically promoted the profound tutorship work of assistants in universities of Beijing, and explicitly requested that every student should obtain targeted profound tutorship at least once a year, each university, combining the requirement of the file, drafted the plan of profound tutorship work according to themselves’circumstance, to enhance the institutional construction of profound tutorship work. They also took carrying out the work of profound tutorship as important measures of deeply implementing the spirit of "the opinion of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council about further strengthening and improving undergraduates’ideological and political education", and powerful approach of propelling undergraduates’ ideological and political education.Profound tutorship is, on the basis of full understanding of students’ specific situation, combined with students’individual trait, in the light of the rule of education and undergraduates’requirement of growth and development, taking the advantage of professional knowledge and skills, carrying out the tutorship facing to all, aiming at solving problems, with scientific guidance and integrating strength. It is able to teach students in accordance of their aptitude, pay more attention to individual development of students, conduct scientific guidance to everyone and help them settle the problems and troubles in order to provide well service and strong support for students’growth and healthy.Firstly, the paper expounds on the background, necessity and significance of profound tutorship of universities. Then, it summarizes the study of personalized profound tutorship, working mode, psychological tutorship skill and interview in carrying out the procedure of profound tutorship. We also take an example of profound tutorship of Beijing Sport University, interview with experts and senior assistants, survey the questionnaire of appraisement on assistants’profound tutorship for undergraduates in school, and conduct the analysis from current status accepting profound tutorship and students’expectation, necessity appraisement, place, content requirements, etc. Classic examples in the procedure of profound tutorship are chosen, which process the discussion on individual case from academic counseling, interpersonal relationship and so on, in detail. We put forward the effective procedure of profound tutorship, the preparations for launching profound tutorship and the content and profession skills involved in the work, via summarizing the investigation, combining our own work experience. Finally, some measures and suggestions are came up as for current condition of profound tutorship work.
