Empirical Study On College National Defence Students Ideological And Political Education

As part of the national army special forces, the national defense students in collegeshave shouldering different responsibilities and obligations. They are college students and atthe same time serve as the national defense students, or as a reserve officer of the army in thecolleges and universities, receiving cultural knowledge and military training. After graduationthey will be assigned to a place by the army, so their personal ability and the comprehensivequality are directly related with the level of modernization of our army. Along with theincreasing changes in international environment, more challenges are put forward on today’sdefense force, and more requires for the military theory, skills and other various aspects.Soldiers need to have more faith and stable values which puts new requirement for ideologicaland political education of the national defense students in colleges.The study of the ideological and political education work practice of the nationaldefense students, as well as the country’s future and destiny has important theoretical andpractical significance in the modernization construction of our army and scientificdevelopment. We have a more comprehensive understanding of nowadays ideological andpolitical education of the national defense students in colleges through investigations ofcultivation of national defense students in a few universities. The achievements and theimportant experience are affirmed and the problems exposed in the four main areas: politicalconsciousness of the national defense students needs to be improved, the lack of the spirit ofdevoting to the national defense; Core values of the national defense students in education,military and political tradition could n’t adapt to the needs of the development; Ideologicaland moral qualities of the national defense students needs to be improved, the lack of thespirit of arduous struggle and quality; Weak consciousness of responsibility, lack ofprofessional quality of being a soldier, and analyze the reasons of the problem. With the practice of the national defense students in our school, the author explores the ideological andpolitical education to improve and perfect the train of thought and countermeasures, hoping toexplore the combination of theory with practice working mechanism and theoretical system ofideological and political education, then provide valuable reference for the innovation ofideological and political education.
