Impact Of Education On Employment By Minority Peasants

This research takes the western modernization the twelfth five-Year guideline as a background,through reviewing and referring the correlation theory of education for economic development.Analyze the peasants’ education situation and the status of peasants’ income and employment, andselect three regions in the south of Xinjiang as the case, through the qualitative and quantitativeanalysis to analyze706household peasant effective questionnaires. In view of the peasantsthemselves, to reveal correlation factors which impact on the growth of farmer incomes currently,and to demonstrate the impact degree between peasant education and their income. Based on this,take the peasants’ income growth as the goal, take the government and the peasant education itselfas the standpoint, it statements the recommendations and countermeasures which can increasetheir level of education, and promote the growth of peasants incomes.The main conclusions of this paper are:First, for peasants’ employment choice, education hasthe direction effect. Peasants education impacts their employment policy by employmentmotivation and employability. The higher peasant education is, the more their non-agriculturetransfer rate is. Instead, low education peasant stays to take care of agriculture, and family-runproject is single, so their family income is lower. Second, the effects of families and loved ones,the technical level, Chinese exchange level, they all have a significant role in promoting onpeasants’ employment. Third, the religious consciousness inhibits the employment of peasants.Fourth, the education on ethnic minorities peasants in Xinjiang has a significant role in promotingthe income of off-farm employment.
