| In recent years, the behavior problem of primary school students is calling attention of the society, notonly because it affects the growth of the children themselves but also their family and even the wholesociety.Sandplay has been wildly applied in many developed countries and regions such as Europe, UniteStates of America, Japan and etc. Sandplay therapy requires no verbal communication. Research shows thatthe feature caters to children, which reflects their unconsciousness through the vivid miniatures and helpschildren to release the negative emotion and strengthen the ego power. The short-term Sandplay techniquehas the experience to use successfully in the family sandplay.Therefore, in order to make more and more students geteffective intervention in a short period of time,by means of the methodology of case treatment, questionnaire and individual interview, this study usechoose primary school students (ranged from9to11years old) who have behavior problem as participantand try to explorer the effect of short-term Sandplay therapy.After the treatment, the students got significant improvement in Rutters rating scale compared withthose students in control group. The themes of Sandplay changed extremely from "wounding" to "healing ".The themes of wounding are tailing away,meanwhile, the themes of healing are clearer.The contrast of the teacher evaluation shows that the cases transfer the progress in the playroom todaily life successfully.The study indicated that the short-term Sandplay technique has positive effect on the behaviorproblem of primary school students and normal students. The short-term Sandplay technique can beeffectively applied to school psychological counseling and education management work, this technique isnot only suitable for psychological counseling, but also played the role of education. |
