In the past dozen years,"post-80s"and"post-90s"youth literature writers works have become one of the most impressive literary phenomenon of China.Under the warm welcome of the teenagers,youth literature has already dominated half of middle school students’extracurricular reading.The formation of this reading symptoms is not an accident,but the combined action of middle school students’ physical and mental stage characteristics development and the social interaction of various kinds of cultural influences.By analyzing the youth literature writers and their works, we can make a conclusion:Youth literature writers’observation and reflection on life is very similar to middle school students’ life experience,at the basic of equal hight between them,it’s easy to have mind blends and aesthetic re-creation,which can’t be replaced by classic works.Only by correct guidance during extracurricular reading,can the teachers make the youth literature flourished.This thesis consists of four parts:The first part introduces the present status of middle school students’ extracurricular reading and the reason why students keen youth literature,Also briefly describes the cause of the middle school students’ obsession with youth literature.The second part focus on analyzing the reason of the formation of reading-symptoms,contains the phased characteristics of psychological development of youth themselves, the rapid development of the social popular culture and the market publisher’hype to youth literature writers and the star packaging, speeding up the "youth literature" hot and the middle school students’ pursuit of youth literature.The third part,embarks from the youth literature text, respectively discusses the positive constructions and negative effects of the youth literature to the middle school students’ values.The fourth part,discusses how should the teacher deal with youth literature hot phenomenon,blindly block is inferior to the correct guidance,help the students create a good reading environment,make youth literature plays a positive role in the middle school students’ extracurricular reading.
