Physical modeling method is a teaching mode founded by Malcolm.The theory is in favor of letting students experience the modeling process,thus contributing to students’ understanding of physics concepts,developing students’ learning ability independently enhancing the quality of students’ physical thinking.The article which based on physical modeling teaching theory and combined with high school physics teaching process,researches and practices the patterns and methods of the modeling theory in high schools.First, the paper analyzes the modeling teaching theory systematically by the use of the literature researching method. Secondly,the questionnaires are used to investigate physical modeling capabilities of the students who come from a a standard senior high school in Fuzhou.Then,the paper interviews the teachers for the topic of "Modeling Teaching".The surveys results show that it is necessary to use modeling mothed in the senior high school physics teaching.According to the modeling teaching theory,combined with the surveys results and the analysis of the processes of physics teaching,this paper improves the original theory of the modeling mothed.The article supplements the "results demonstrate"phase of "modeling" stage and divides the "results demonstrate" into a separate modeling phase, which corresponds to "test and perfect model" stage.In the "test and perfect model"stage, all characteristics of the model will be integrated and a simple application should be made.As a result, the new modeling mode links the the modeling mothed and teaching process.The mode not only explains the roles which the stages of modeling teaching should play, but also adapts to the current situation of high school physics class.Finally, the paper carrys out the modeling teaching mode through new lessons and exercises teaching in the physics classes of senior high school. By implementing three teaching cases.the modeling of freefall, modeling of pendulum and exercises modeling of force balance,the paper explains how to implement modeling teaching and illustrates the implementation details. The practice tests the operability and value of culturing learning strategies and exploration capacities of the students simultaneously.
