Promoting The Sustainable Development Of Competitive Sports From The Perspective Of People-oriented

Since China’s reform and opening up, China has made great progress in thedevelopment of competitive sports, which has won great honor for the motherland. Thenumber of gold medals and medals indicates the rapid development of competitivesports in China. As a fascinating form of cultural exchange, competitive sports haspermeated into every aspects of our l life and become a display window of China’ssocial development, economic development and cultural development. At the sametime, the problems in the process of competitive sports’ development has begun toemerge. Technology supremacy, exceeding utilitarianism and commercialism hasmade competitive sports deviate from the basic value and ultimate goal of sports.Thus the purpose and result of competitive sports have been seriously alienated,which made a negative impact on the sustainable development of competitive sports.The return of competitive sports to the basic value and ultimate goal of sport hasbecome a major topic of the study of competitive sports in China in the21st century. Itis also the focal and difficult points of the the sustainable development of competitivesports.This paper adopts a series of methods, such as logic reasoning and comparativeanalysis. This first chapter is an introduction. The second chapter clarifies the presentsituation of China’s competitive sports and the requirement of sustainable developmentand analyzes the factors which affect the sustainable development of competitive sports;Through the analysis of the values of "people-oriented" and the fundamental value ofcompetitive sports, the third chapter draws a conclusion that it is needed to adhere tothe "people-oriented" and to promote the comprehensive development of athletes forpromoting the sustainable development of competitive sports; The last chapter putsforward strategic suggestions for promoting the sustainable development of China’scompetitive sports and emphasizes the importance of the "people-oriented" inpromoting the sustainable development of competitive sports.
