The main work of this paper is using original physical problems to cultivate students’ ability to build physical model. I chose two classes as objects of study:one is experimental group and the other as control group. The experiment last for a semester. The experimental group was taught in the primitive physics problem method and the control group was taught in traditional teaching method. Take the scores of the first test in this term as a previous standard, and that of the final exam as post standard. Through the independent sample T test on the two groups score it was found that the previous scores of the two groups were almost the same, but after a semester of the primitive physical problems teaching practice, the achievement of the experimental group was better than control group, and the effect on the academically poor students was obvious. So we can conclude that using the primitive physical problems teaching can improve students’ ability of building physical model and applying physical knowledge to solve practical problems, furthermore arouse the students’ interest in learning physics.In this paper, firstly, I introduced the research background, theoretical significance and practical significance of the topic, and the recent research situation at home and abroad. By analyzing the domestic and foreign research results, I found building physical model on the basis of the original physical problems was the student’s weakest part. Secondly, I presented the definitions of original physical problems and physical model, and the relationship between the original physical problems and physical model. Besides, I briefly introduced the theoretical basis of the construction of the physical model-the theory of constructivism and "problem teaching". Thirdly, I put forward the establishment methold of original physical problems, as well as the process and method of setting up the physical model on the basis of original problem and teaching strategies about using the variable type training to promote model migration to a new original physical problems. Meanwhile, I showed two teaching cases of using original physical problems to cultivate students’ ability to build physical model and used statistical software SPSS to analyse the experimental results. The results showed that the previous scores of the two groups were almost the same, but after a semester of the primitive physical problems teaching practice, the achievement of the experimental group was better than control group, and the effect on the academically poor students was obvious.To sum up, using original physical problems to cultivate students’ ability to build physical model plays an important role in improving students’ ability in physics and is suitable for long-term use in ordinary schools. The results of the reseach will be helpful to other subjects in cultivating students’ ability to build model by using original problems.
