Research On The College Students’ Rational Patriotism Education In The New Period

This paper is based on the background of some irrational patriotic behaviors appeared inrecent years at home. In the paper, the author takes the college students group as the researchobject. According to the analysis of the current situation and reasons of college students’patriotism, the author tries to find out the effective ways to strengthen the college students’rational patriotism education in the new period.Based on the analysis and reference of the existing related research, the author definesthe concepts of patriotism and rational patriotism firstly and induces some basic requests ofcollege students’ rational patriotism in the new period. Then the author represents the currentsituation of college students’ patriotism by describing and grasping the patriotism patrioticidea and common patriotic behaviors of college students. Moreover, the deep layer reasons forthe situation are analyzed from the views of the characteristics of the students themselves, thelack of rational patriotism education in colleges and universities, the influence of the socialenvironment and the mass media, etc. Afterwards, the author discourses upon the meaning ofstrengthening the rational patriotism education for college students in the new period from theaspects of the growth of college students and patriotism education in colleges. Unlike mostprevious research results, the author stands in the perspective of colleges and universities andexplores the ways of college students’ rational patriotism education in the vision of collegesand universities. At the end, the author offers a few ideas of how to enhance college students’rational patriotism education.
