Arranged marriage, the traditional dating pattern achievement, was populare for a longetime in China. Since modern times, the invasion of western culture, people began to pursuetheir self-liberation. And realized the necessity of freedom of marriage, The development offreedom marriage is booming. In the21st century, with the continuous development ofChina’s economic and social, parents started to intervene in children’s marriage. The situationwhich Parents’ involvement in their children’s gradually become into a common phenomenon.Therefore, arranged marriage starts over again in a new form underneath the concern ofparents. According to this social phenomenon, starting from the definitionandcharacteristics of modern new "arranged marriage", the analysis of its causes,and based onthe ethical evaluation of the new "arranged marriage", analyze itsessence, and puts forward itsimplications.In The first part of my paper, the types of marriage in modern society of china areanalyzed. One remarkable finding is that there are three main types of marriage in our modernsociety. They are traditional arranged marriage, freedom of marriage and the new type ofarranged marriage. Comparing these three kinds, we could see the main features on the newtype of arranged marriage.The causes of new arranged marriage are shown in the second part. I analyze this newtype from historical reasons and realistic social factors. can not be formed in a day due to thespiral progress of the society. Ttraditional thought that children’s marriage was controlled byparents and weak relationship formed in modern society. especially social retroversion ofyouth, have great influence on the new arranged marriage.The third part is mainly to evaluate on new arranged marriage. With the emergence of anew things there will always be two sides, one side would follow the society, and the otherwants to be against with. The rationality and disadvantages of the new arranged marriageare elaborate from four aspects in this paper.The fourth part mainly explain the essence of the new arranged marriage and someenlightenment gained from it. Although the new arranged marriage is different from thetraditional one after a certain development, the essence of the new arranged marriage is stillunchanged. Also, through the new arranged marriage we realize that the youth socialization backwards in contemporary China. It will be helpful to solve problems after finding theessence of the problems.
