The practical application is the ultimate goal of learning techniques,basketball is the same. Passing skills in basketball is a basic attacktechnique, which is used frequently in basketball games. Good passing cangive full play to collective force, break the defense of opponents, havingaccess to more and better shots. There are many passing techniques, andduring the process of teaching, we should seize the main points and releasethe secondary and explain in brief for more practice to improve theteaching efficiency. From this, in this study, the purposes is to discoverthe basic technology of passing skills in modern basketball matches, andsummarizes the characteristics and general rules of its application. Theresearch’s object is the use of passing skills in the first basketballworld cup, using the research methods of video analysis, expertinvestigation, mathematical statistics and so on,to analyze the15thmatch of the first Basketball World Cup finals, the study concluded that:1、Hand chest pass, overhead pass, single-hand chest pass are used mostfrequently and widely in the games, and they are the foundation of otherpass techniques. They are the basic passing technique in basketball.2、Hand chest pass and hands overhead pass are mainly used when theDefensive perimeter pressure is lower, whose characteristics are safety,accuracy; with the gradual enhance of offense aggressivity, the formof underhand "passing","sending" with single, or both hands pass aremainly used between outside players.3、Overhead pass combined with all kinds bounce pass is mainly used fordirectly getting through the defenders and from outside-to-inside passingwhich can widen the vision and not easy to be stolen.4、Single hand chest pass, single hand side pass, dribble pushing passtechnique and dribbling technique combined with tight, strong flexibility,is a very subtle and aggressive pass technology.5、The fast break in the launching phase mainly use hand chest pass withhands overhead pass which are powerful, quick, and can be used in far,middle or close distance; In the fast break, it is better to use therelatively more safe, accurate hand chest pass; the end stage of the pass,it is of various techniques, mobile and flexible, and the featuresare: the action range is small, strong concealment.6、Grasping the pass techniques, clear purpose, improving the purpose ofthe pass, the sense to adjust angle and the rational choice of pass routes,manipulation, control of its droppoint, combined with the use ofdeceptive movements are the external guarantee for its success.
