| Currently, China is experiencing a special period of social transformation and economictransition. Under the influence of environment, the sustainable development of competitivesports is confronted with many issues and challenges. Beijing, as the political, economic andcultural center of China as well as its unique geographical advantages, has possessedfavorable conditions for the development of basketball sports. Although Beijing men’sbasketball team have won the championships of CBA in recent years and women’s basketballteam won the2012WCBA, Beijing’s basketball teams did not achieve satisfactoryperformances in National Games, failing to advance to the semi-finals of the competition.Second-tier and third-tier team players are technically too backward to be first-tier teams, letalone joining the national team. All these facts reflect the relatively low level of Beijing’slocal basketball players and the existing problems in terms of back-up talents’ cultivation. Thethesis is aimed at analyzing the existing problems in the process of Beijing’s basketball playerback-up talents’ cultivation and putting forward possible countermeasures, possibly providingsome references for the development of Beijing’s basketball cause.Research Conclusion:1.Currently, Beijing has three channels of training basketballback-up talents: professional training,“sports-and-education-combination training”, andsocialized training. The three kinds of training contribute to training back-up talents forBeijing. However, there have existed certain problems within each training channelrespectively owing to the influences of the economy and market.2.The factors influencingBeijing’s back-up talent cultivation of competitive basketball players are mainly divided intosome categories（AHP）: potential supply sources（54%）, support guarantee layer（30%）,and environment level（16%）. Potential supply sources include the following factors: coaches（24%）and players（24%）. Support guarantee layer contains the elements of training（16%）,competitions（16%）,science and technology（6%）,and expenditure（5%）.Environment level is made up of policies（4%）, notions（3%）and management（2%）.3.Currently, Beijing should expand the channels of training, launch corresponding trainingpatterns which are suitable for market economy in order to enhance the training effects ofbasketball back-up talents. Relevant departments should clarify the relationship betweenrespective rights, responsibilities and interests, strengthen communication and cooperation, cultivate the effect values of training talents and establish back-up talents training patternswith Beijing characteristics.Corresponding countermeasures to existing issues:1.Potential supply sources: Organizeon-the-job training regularly, emphasize the training of young coaches and establishhigh-level coach teams.Promote the rationalization of regional talent distribution and thedisciplining of basketball players. Cope with the conflicts between learning and training andrealize professional training.2.Support guarantee layer: Stress the launching andimplementation of training plans and combine training and practice closely. Launchingplatforms for youth basketball competition. Enhance coaches’ abilities of research andinformation collecting-and-handling and lay emphasis on the information feedback of players.Establish special funds, allocate special funds for special purposes, and enhance the paymentsand benefits of coaches.3.Environment level: Cultivate correct attitudes towards the trainingof back-up talents. Strengthen the cooperation between PE and education departments,Integrate sources of all levels and establish a diverse training system. Parents need to changetheir notions. Relevant departments organize diverse and rich public basketball activities andincrease public awareness and attention, attract more youth to participate in basketballactivities and enlarge the number of trained talents. Take advantage of Beijing’s uniquecharacteristics and resources and provide service for training back-up talents. |
