Since the enrollment of our country’s higher was expanded, minority college students hasbecome an integral part of a special group in general institutions of higher learning.Ideological and political education is the political advantage and fine tradition of the party andthe country. As the number of ethnic minority college students entering general institutions ofhigher learning increases year by year, ideological and political education of minority collegestudents there also needs strengthening. However, due to the influence from many factorssuch as their living conditions and living environment, religious belief and custom, there aremany problems. Based on the particularity of educators, educates and social environment inthe process of ethnic minority college students’ ideological and political education in generalinstitutions of higher learning, normal universities should adhere to the basic theory ofMarxism as the basic guiding ideology, fully implement the party’s basic line and the nationalimportant guidelines and policies, and systematically and scientifically sums up the commonexperience of ethnic minority college students’ ideological and political education in generalinstitutions of higher learning in accordance with the requirements of the scientific outlook ondevelopment, which is of great significance to improve the actual effect of it.This paper carries on analysis and research mainly through the survey method, literatureanalysis and case analysis method and so on. Mainly around many aspects such as nationalidentity, ethnic identity and political identity,religious belief, legal consciousness and moralaccomplishment and mental health, this article conducts the research on minority collegestudents’ ideological and political education in general institutions of higher learning. The firstpart is the introduction, which introduces research background, research significance, researchstatus at home and abroad, research ideas and methods; the second part is the summary of ethnic minority college students’ ideological and political education in general institutions ofhigher learning, which mainly discusses the related concept, importance and particularity of it;the third part is about the analysis of the present situation; the fourth part puts forward theproblems of it; mainly based on many principles such as "student-oriented concept","combination of teaching and education","keeping pace with the times", and "combination ofintegrity and diversity", through the summary of the contents of ethnic minority collegestudents’ ideological and political education in general institutions of higher learning, the lastpart, the focus of this article, puts forward the corresponding measures.
