Advance organizer plays a very important role in learning. Foreign notebooks attach great importance to its applications in helping students learning. This paper discusses the concept of advance organizers, its current development and changes, as well as its impact on students learning. The paper aims to find the differences in the advance organiser application between the two versions, the high school chemistry textbook published by People’s education press (Song Xinqi editor,2007edition) and the US mainstream science textbook 《Chemistry Concepts and Applications》(Zuhao Wang translation,2005edition), by comparing the advance organiser’application in them. With these efforts help to providemeanningful references for our country textbook in designing the advance organiserThis paper according to compare the two editions’ differences in advance organizers,which in a specific pattern, through specific cases; through advance organizer’s design and applications in chapters, compare the orderliness of advance organiser’s design and applications; through the same core concept learning to compare the pertinence between advance organiser and content, And other differences. On this basis, to identify gaps between the two editions of textbook, then presented referential suggestions for PEP design in advance organizer.
