Salary incentive system of colleges and universities as normal non profit organization has become the most important way to attract, manage and keep teachers. However, a reform on this system become a must because its weaknesses has gradually showing with the rapid development of society in resent years; moreover, it even affecting the motivation and satisfaction of university teachers. Combining the theoretical results and taking the successful experience of salary reform on colleges and universities of our country as reference, this thesis aims to find a new salary system which can mobilizing the initiative, stimulating healthy competition, adjusting income gaps so as to show fair and reasonable as well as effective incentive.Chapter one elaborates the background and significance of the research on salary incentive system, and the relevant research at home and abroad; defines non profit organization and salary incentive system; raises the research ideas and methods.Chapter two concludes characteristics of non profit organization and theoretical basis of salary incentive system, giving theoretical support for research on salary incentive system of non profit organization.Chapter three explains basic information about questionnaire survey, introduces Guizhou Normal University and its teaching staff, which provide corresponding basis for rising of salary incentive system. Meanwhile, this chapter concludes the successes of salary incentive system in Guizhou Normal University. Combining questionnaire survey and case analysis, this chapter also gets weaknesses of current salary incentive system of Guizhou Normal University and analysis its reasons through research taking on site.Chapter four gives out principles should be followed in realizing effective incentive of salary system about colleges and universities, makes recommendations on design and implement of the salary system.Chapter five is about the conclusion and future research direction. In this chapter, we provided a brief summary of the study results, and discussed the limitation of this paper and the direction for future research.
