Abstract:Teachers’teaching decision-making refers to thinking activity about determine the most effective teaching plan. The purpose of this thinking activity is to achieve teaching goals and complete teaching tasks. Teachers should predict, analysis and reflect on their teaching practice which based on their own beliefs, knowledge and practical wisdom. Teaching decision-making is effective or not determines the teaching quality of teachers. Therefore, in order to improve the teaching quality and promote the development of students, teachers’ active teaching decision-making is particularly important. That is to say, teachers’teaching decision-making autonomy should be received people’s attention.Methods of this study are qualitative research and quantitative research. Based on the literature review and occupy, this study selects S High School in Huaibei city as the research object. Through analyzing current situation and problems of this school teachers’teaching decision-making autonomy to explore the promotion strategy of the high school teachers’teaching decision-making autonomy. According to the survey, under the heavy task of teaching and huge entrance pressure to a higher school, high school teachers are lack the consciousness of making decision. And their decision-making is missing seriously. There are three causes of this phenomenon:the solidification of teachers’beliefs, the lack of practical wisdom and the simplification of school management. Based on these, high school teachers’ decision-making autonomy can improve from two aspects, which are teachers and school management. High school teachers should change their old beliefs actively, lit their own teaching enthusiasm and can also use the method of critical reflection to cultivate keen insight, judgment, form their own teaching wit and develop their practical wisdom. Meanwhile, school should take some measures to strengthen the consciousness of teachers’teaching decision-making and improve teachers’ decision-making autonomy. Such as change the old mode of pre-service training, provide a platform for teachers to change their thoughts and cooperate with each other, set up a corresponding system of rewards and punishments and so on.
