A Research On The Relationship Between College Students' Decision-making Style Career Decision-making Self-efficacy And Career Decision-making Difficulties

Career decision-making difficulty is defined as the all-possible obstacles and difficulties that one may encounter in the course of career decision-making. At present,our country's job market is severely saturated, the contradiction between employment supply and demand is becoming more and more acute.But,the college students fell confused when they confont the future occupation.Especially in the field of career decision-making, they lack self-awareness about themselves and the workplace,they lack career planning and future objectives.In this study, decision-making style and career decision-making self-efficacy are intrduced as independent variables, trying to explore the affect that the two variables on career decision-making difficulties.This study is divided into three phases: the first phase is the preparation of the decision-making style.Through literature review and interviews to students,35 items were collected to form the questionnaire. The second stage is forecasting the questionnaire. Mergering the decision-making style scale, career decision-making self-efficacy scale and career decision-making difficulties scale to form the career decision-making questionnaire ,and then testing the students of Huazhong Univercity of Science and Technonlogy. The third stage is the formal testing. Recovery results showing characteristics of career decision-making difficulties,exploring the relationship between decision-making styles, career decision-making self-efficacy and career decision-making difficulties.The results show that differences in grade,the decision-making style and career decision-making self-efficacy are factors which effect career decision-making difficulties.while,gender,family background,professional and career counseling experiences have no significant impact on the career decision-making difficulties.Decision-making style and career decision-making self-efficacy impact the career decision-making difficulties indepentently,the career decision-making self-efficacy does not play the intermediary role between decision-making style and career decision-making difficulties.
