Experiment teaching is an indispensable teaching task for the junior physics,due to the physics as an experimental science. The national new curriculum standardsemphasized the new idea of ‘raising questions, suppose and assumption, drawing aplan and designing experiments; carrying out experiments and collecting evidences,analysis and argument, assessment, intercommunion and cooperation’. Therefore, astudy on the inquiry experiments for junior physics may improve learning physics forstudents and cultivate their creative thinking.In this paper, the inquiry electrical experiments for junior physics were analyzed andstudied under the new curriculum standard. Firstly, we define what the inquiryexperiments are. The basic theory of psychology and pedagogy for this kind ofexperiments is simply summarized. And traditional method and inquiry one forexperimental teaching are compared. Secondly, some inquiry electrical experimentsare chosen from the junior physical ones under new curriculum standard. Then somebasic principles and procedures are also derived. Three typical teaching examples arelisted. A questionnaire survey on teaching effect is performed. Finally,some teachingproblems for the inquiry experiments are analyzed and several teaching strategies arecorrespondingly obtained. It is very important for the junior physical experimentteaching to study inquiry electrical experiments under the new curriculum standard.
