Since the reform and opening up, especially since the Fourth Plenary Session of the Thirteenth National Congress of the party, the Chinese economy accelerated development, increasing people’s standard of living, comprehensive national strength enhanced markedly, creating a lot at the same time period for the development of the world economy, by many experts known as the "Chinese miracle". At the same time, the Chinese education also made great achievements. With the continuous advance of the policy of reform and opening up, Chinese higher education social environment, strategic position, educational philosophy, development mode and management system and so on have undergone major changes, which established the strategic position of higher education and the new development goals, on the other side to promote modernization of our country socialism cultivate a group and a group of outstanding talent. Economic development restricts the development of higher education, while higher education promotes economic development.. The two need to coordinate the development, can better improve the speed of development of China, so that China has become a world power.The multivariate statistical analysis of clustering analysis, factor analysis, linear regression analysis and other statistical methods, with the help of SPSS statistical software, statistical model is built between the level of regional economy of China and the higher education level, on the relationship between the level of China’s regional economy and higher education level and their correlation analysis. According to the China Statistical Yearbook,2013, the selection of data, the extraction of the regional economic level and the level of higher education in our country a few indicators. Firstly, the cluster analysis of31regions in China according to two levels were roughly classified, objective and reasonable analysis of the status of the level of China’s regional economy and higher education level; then the factor analysis has been carried out on them, it is concluded that the various regions of the two levels of the factor scores and ranking, and a step cluster analysis results are basically the same; and then use ordinary least squares regression and stepwise regression to establish economic level and the education funds input linear regression model and obtains the relative optimal regression equation, the number has given the economic development to the development of education has a linear effect. Finally, the economic level of the18cities in Henan province and the level of higher education are supplemented by correlation analysis.
