With the divorce rate increased year by year, more and more children are faced changes in family environment bringed by. parents divorce. The proportion of children in divorced families is bigger and bigger, The characteristic raised in adolescence will have important impacts on individual future development. Teenagers main living areas are family, so the family environment will have influence on their future development,and this problem has become a hot economy study, has important research significance. In divorced families, parents’ marital status influence on children, why have these effects, and what method can control, a series of problems need to study. This article focus on describing there exist generations transmit on children from the marital status of parents, and try to find explanation by empirical analysis. and to seek a method to solve the problem.Using 2010 Chinese Family Panel Studies(CFPS) data to study the comprehensive influence on children from the marital status of parents. Including two aspects :the influence on children marital status and on children economic situation. Based on the literature review and theoretical analysis on the method of using micro econometric empirical analysis, the research hypothesis is proposed. Using Heckman two step model to study the effect on children marital status from marital status of parents; then select a appropriate instrument variable, using 2SLS method to study the effect on children’s income from marital status of parents. Have achieved significance results, to verify the research hypothesis.We can get two conclusions: First, parents’ marital status do have a significant positive relations with children’s marital status. Children from divorced family tend to have a more unstable marriage. Second, parents’ marital status have a significant negative corelation with children’s income.If parents were divorced,this will influence children’s ability to generate income through many mechanisms including human resources investment,family cultural background and education.These conclusions show that parents’ marital status do have a long-term effect on children,thus we need take the problems derived from parents’ marital status seriously.Targeting at the conclusions from empirical analysis,the essay will put forward suggetions from the legitimate,social and family level as well as outlook on this aspect.
