Chinglish Analysis And Countermeasures In The High School English Writing

This paper mainly applied the language transfer theory to English writing teaching in Senior High schools in the empirical research articles. On the current situation of senior students’ English writing, the writing is not only the students’ weakness, but also the teachers’ technical improvement in teaching. By reading a large number of language transfer related literature, the author found that the relationship between language transfer and two language learners language output closely, if high school students can master the related language transfer knowledge,,It can enrich their knowledge of English theory, at the same time, it also can solve Chinglish expression problems in writing, which is caused by language transfer, so that students’ writing smoother、 more accurate、more authentic.Therefore, the author put forward the hypothesis that grasp the language transfer theory in the certain degree can promote and improve the students’ writing level. This paper based on the language transfer and his related theories, adopted the method of empirical teaching,I take the first grade students of high school affiliated to Harbin Normal University on as the object of the research. In the study, I selected two classes of relative balance performance, they are Class Eight and Class Eleven. I supposed Class Eight as the experimental class, and Class Eleven as the normal class. According to composition guidance and inspector of Class Eight during a semester, taking English writing of the final exam as the standard and comparing the differences between English and Chinese, then find out Chinese expressions appeared on test papers and analyse these errors.The result shows that, the theory of language transfer can not only help high school students to correct Chinglish expressions in writing, but also makes the level of English writing is obviously improved. This study suggests the theory of language transfer can be as a kind of teaching method, which can be applied to English writing teaching in Senior High school, in order to avoid and reduce the occurrence Chinglish expressions in English writing. Finally, the author puts forward the limitations of this paper and gives some suggestions for the future research.
