Along with the development of the economy, the constant progress of the society, the destruction of the ecological environment is becoming more and more serious, and the threat to survival of people that ecological damage caused is becoming more and more obvious. So, it is particularly important to protect the ecological environment, and it is urgent to establish correct ecological values for people especially teenagers. Because teenagers are not only builders and successors of socialism with Chinese characteristics, but also they are the successors and communicators of excellent culture of china, moreover, they are also the innovators and practitioners of advanced ideas. As an important education front, it has important strategic significance for high schools to develop the ecological values of teenagers.High school ecological education aim to cultivate the educate to sense their environment condition, understanding the importance of ecological value under the correct guidance of the scientific developing concept, comprehending the rules of ecological system, clearing the position as a human in the natural ecosystem, and then accurately understanding the relationship between human and nature, thus we can make the educate form a correct value judgment and moral principles to regulate their own behaviors. Based on the influence of ecological values education in high schools to students all-round development, and also its important driving force for the construction of harmonious society, combined with a contemporary policy support and resources and conditions of all aspects of security, having the education activity is imperative.The content of the contemporary ecological value education in high schools includes: the concept of the ecological environment, the concept of the relationship between human and nature, and the goal of ecological values education. Although the current education mode certainly made some achievements in application, at the same time, some problems are exploded, such as low ecological values education status, lack of content, few channel for students to study ecological knowledge, and so on. According to the appeared problems on ecological values education in high schools, we can come to the conclusion of four important factors affecting the education activities, respectively is the status, content, form, guarantee mechanism of ecological values education in high schools. After understanding the current situation of the ecological values education in high schools, combined with the correct use of three basic principles of ecological values education in high schools, then strengthening the thinking of contemporary ecological values education in high schools. First of all, strengthening the main institutions of ecological values education in high schools; Second, guiding students to consciously practice ecological values; Finally, on the basis of using the foreign countries’ ecological environment education for reference to advance our concepts, advocating scientific ecological values, improving the quality of the ecological values education in high schools on all aspects.
