Under the influence of the cultural concept "the big data", numerous cultural carriers derive from the mysterious and primitive state of traditional thoughts. In the perspective of the integration of traditional culture and modern technology, people start to pay attention to the application of its metaphysical aspect. Therefore, the ideas of cultivating one’s mind and its inherent methods come to our mind naturally. There is no doubt that the appearance of the word "cultivating one’s mind" is the way of people’s rational regression after accepting traditional thoughts. Of course, the cultivating of one’s mind of the cultural carrier must be influenced by cultural elements in modern society, and sometimes might even goes off the course. Nevertheless, I firmly believe that in spite of the influence of foreign culture on our traditional culture, the essence of it, which emphasizes the passing of "positive energy", has not changed.According to the direction and nature of the mind-cultivation process, this paper divides it into three aspects:the cultivation of quiet mind, the cultivation of respectful mind and the cultivation of clean mind. Then the real meaning of mind-cultivation is explained in these three perspectives. On the basis of this, this paper explains the differences between the Tao of Chinese Tea and Martial Arts, as well as the similarities between them in their law of thoughts, in terms of which this paper endeavors to start a theoretical discussion about the meaning of one’s life.Firstly, the cultivation of quiet mind is discussed. In the practicing of cultural items which carry the pursuit of Tao, practitioners periodically and gradually experience and perceive the stability and quietness of their body and mind and, by gradually eliminating the influence exerted by some objective factors on their emotions, reach a state of "quiet mind". The apparent procedures of making tea are actually the process of practice of the Tao of Tea. From the perspective of making tea, the recirculation from the upright movements to quiet mind is the key way of practice in the cultivation of mind, and also the integration of rules of the Tao of Tea for the pursuit of "quiet mind". Martial Arts, on the other hand, achieve the similar effect with its upright body training, name to reach quiet mind through the training of a single movement, Zhanzhuang, or some routines of forms. It is not difficult to see that the Tao of Tea and Martial Arts achieve the same experience of "quite mind" with different methods to cultivate minds.Secondly, the cultivation of respectful mind is talked about. Respectful mind is closely related to one’s level of cognition of the truth of everything. From cognition to practice, a mind-cultivating person’s respectful mind exists firmly and is reflected through his action and thought in his attitude that he shall respect the true, the good the beautiful and be afraid of losing them which have been deeply rooted in his heart. The Tao of Tea, as a unique rational value and sentimental expression, becomes an entry for people to express their emotion and a carrier for them to cultivate their respectful minds. With the Tao of Tea, one starts his journey of cultivating his respectful mind from cognition to practice, that is, to respect the true, the good and the beautiful. Martial arts, on the other hand, has a perfect set of means to cultivate one’s morality. In the process of cultivating one’s respectful mind, Martial Arts, usually by means of imitating the nature and getting the inspiration, make people obey the rule of everything. The true meaning behind this is that humans want to imitate the features in nature to perfect their own behaviors and thoughts, and ultimately, cultivate the respectful mind which can obey the truth and rule in nature.Thirdly, the cultivation of clean mind is interpreted. Clean mind, in the practicing of cultural carriers which are related to Tao, is the cognition of one’s detachment. The cultivation of clean mind is the process of cleaning one’s consciousness, constructing the sense of aesthetic in one’s consciousness, leading oneself back to his primary spiritual being. The Tao of Tea, however, has a quite different way from Martial Arts to cultivate clean mind. The Tao of Tea cultivates one’s clean mind with its strong natural atmosphere. It helps to get rid of thoughts to acquire clean mind through the construction of one’s sense of aesthetic. Martial Arts, which also have the content of aesthetic sense, however, cultivate one’s clean mind by means of direct thoughts training. In this way, one’s disordered thoughts are eliminated and the clean mind is obtained. As the saying goes, the fake can never be real and the real will never be fake. The wonderful traditional culture will not disappear. Instead, just as the pragmatism in Chinese people deep heart, it will automatically exclude the cultural infiltrate which doesn’t apply to Chinese in the specific process of cultural operation. As for its origin, its Chinese people who put the Tao into use on the cultural carriers and cultivate their mind at the same time. By integrating knowledge and application, they seek for the application of value of the meaning of their life.Since ways to cultivate mind under the guidance of traditional culture varies, people come to pay attention to the Tao of Tea, the Tao of Martial Arts, the Tao of Dan, the Tao of Clavichord, the Tao of Go, the Tao of Calligraphy, the Tao of Painting, the Tao of Wine, and so on. As we all know, there is a cause and effect relationship in everything. In traditional cultural, the appearance of carriers of Tao is the "effect", while the persistent process of seeking for Tao in everything is the "cause".The purpose of this research is to seek for "effect" from the "cause", and to reflect the "effect5" according to the "cause". As the application of Tao has been divided into countless cultural carriers, there must be a lot of other implicit ways and methods of cultivating mind, about which I can do nothing for lack of academic ability. This will be left for more scholars who work on traditional cultural carriers to work it out and show its particular charm through long-time research and further discussion.
